Was Fabulous ,but sadly Closed down

I do not normally write reviews but having read some of the nasty ones on this place I thought I would let people know that I have been to this restaurant a number of times, have always had excellent service and very good food. No-one has ever been rude, I have never had to wait and I have absolutely nothing to complain about!

I had the best, home made, warm buttery scones there with my cream tea. They are also very generous with the clotted cream and jam. seriously the best scones I've ever had!

Stumbled into Bernieres Tea Room on our way to Salisbury Cathedral and were very pleasantly surprised. The food was very good and the atmosphere felt authentically local--in fact, I'm sure we were the only tourists in the place on this December day.

We visited today and waited ages to have our choices took, this was then married with the fact that we then continued to wait. The waitress then brought us our drinks however still our snacks did not arrive. My sister went to see her she came back and said sorry about the wait, our bookings take priority. She eventually brought our scones we had drunk our teas by then so very disappointed. My dad said to her that he wasn't impressed and said you don't bring half an order etc, we said about what she had said also, u could see she was getting in a flap and said she was very busy and had to go. A man then came out and called my dad a bully said we had made his daughter cry that we had shouted at her. With this the man on the next table said actually I heard the whole thing he didn't, simply stated as it was and that she had said that bookings were priority. With this he said Is this what she said. He then said to us he was very busy etc, that the thing was on him. My dad went in and paid half the bill as that's the way he is, it wasn't about getting a free grub. Long n short also was that my boy ordered a chicken sandwich and didn't even get it. My boy is autistic and was very distressed after this Safe to say we won't be returning
