Tried making a claim for my dog. They initially declined the claim due to comments on his unrelated veterinary history and did no investigation whatsoever. I tried to appeal, but they again declined without any effort to obtain the facts. I had to ask my vet to contact them and explain the situation. They then paid the claim but deducted 35% due to my dogs age, and put exclusions on his cover, for future conditions even if unrelated. These people will try very hard not to pay you - NOT ANIMAL FRIENDS.
Animal Friends have been absolutely brilliant with all the claims I have made for my two extremely elderly Labradors. Great service, understanding staff. I cannot praise them highly enough. I would never use another pet insurer
We have found Animal friends insurance to be brilliant. We have claimed for approx 4 years for our dog and we have never had a problem with any claim . I would be happy to use Animal friends in the future ,when we have another dog.
We have never experienced such good service from a pet insurer. Very quick response especially at such a distressing and sad time as we lost a cat so young. The quick time frame has meant we had the funds to cremate him. So impressed.
Only paid less than 50% of my claim despite being a very loyal customer with a very honest claim. Penalised due to missing the claim deadline (family member died and we were distracted) and a hidden extra 20% not mentioned at point of purchase as my dog was over 8.Shame as the people who work there seem very nice to talk to.
