Good food friendly staff & welcoming atmosphere. Ordered scampi ,chips & peas for myself & my sister (who I was visiting at the time) ordered fish & chips. Although place was fairly busy we got served quite quickly. Would recommend this place.

Very poor bar staff awareness of their customers. My first time back in Salisbury with a colleague and unfortunately it was a disappointment. I queued patiently as always but I was totally ignored for around 10 minutes. Acceptable you may think and yes I would normally agree but it became apparent a queue was forming and I was blissffully unaware of this. I would like to have have been informed by at least one of the 2 male bar staff that made eye contact I may have been in the wrong place if I was? !! But no very poor as a huge fan of spoons this was not a good experience. A real shame please become more aware of your loyal Spoons customers.

Good food used the ap to order food and drink very quick and efficient. Good coffee with free refill. Food very good and chips were beautifully cooked. Do lighter bites and small portions for those with a small appetite. Good range of dishes and desserts.

The Kings Head Inn do an excellent range of breakfasts from the small through traditional to a large plus other options such as pancakes, avocados on toast etc.I had the traditional breakfast with additional black pudding which came as 2 good slices. The quality was fine but some of the food - especially the bacon could have been a lot hotter.Included in the amazing price of 3.70 (plus 70p for the black pudding) is unlimited tea or coffee which you help yourself to from a machine which actually vends quite decent coffee. My partner had the avocado and egg with bacon and surprisingly the bacon came cold which is how they serve it according to a member of staff but you can ask for it to be heated if you prefer.Overall, excellent value and a good way to start a days shopping.

It's not high cuisine but it's pretty good and arrived very fast despite being so full. It's got a good range of beers at a great price. I would still prefer a non-chain but other places were too full. My 5 bean chili was good if a little small.
