Good hospital with lots of departments and wards. Parking can be tricky so allow time. Springs restaurant located on bottom floor is spacious and has a good range of products. The smaller coffee shop just inside main entrance has nice cakes and buns.The staff on a whole are fantastic occasionally you run into bad communication or staff that just do what's needed but like I said on the whole staff will do more. I'm used to most departments/wards as I'm currently going through cancer treatment so any questions,advice etc I'll do my best if you have any.Many thanks to the staff on Spire ward, Tisbury ward, Pembroke suite and ward, oncology, MRI, x-ray, breast clinic, recovery and night staff on breamer ward my hat off to you all.

I had my operation on Wednesday and I can highly recommend SDH! The care and support I was given was outstanding. All the staff are friendly and knowledgable with lovely smiles. Well done guys!
My son was scheduled an operation. The day before the operation called to check it was still happening to he told that the ward he is usually on was closed and the flat we had booked for my husband was no longer available and only one parent could stay. After much worry and discussion it was agreed that we could both stay with our sin on the ward on roll away beds. Arrived on the ward to a lovely student nurse who made the stay bearable. We were not told where we could get a drink nor were we supplied with a bed for my husband until I had asked for it about 5 times. This bed was eventually given to us at 11.15pm on the first night. On the second night My husband was not even supplied with a bed and this resulted to him sleeping in the hard floor next to our sons cot. My son's medication was forgotten. It is such a shame as some of the staff were wonderful and I can't fault the surgeon and his team. It's s horrible time for the patient and family so any other stress is not necessary.
Amazing staff doing great work, its just a shame the government doesnt acknowledge them enough. This hospital is clean, easy to navigate and everyone is helpful. The only downside is the cost the private parking company charges!
