We transferred from St Anne's surgery as making an appointment was extremely difficult and the level of care and knowledge from the Doctors was sporadic at best. This surgery is much better, we have found the reception staff to be friendly, the practice nurse and the doctors are very good too. We are very pleased to have made the move.
Just spoken to an incredibly dismissive and rude older woman in the call centre at 1pm today. My mother and I were trying to sort out an emergency prescription. This woman was unhelpful and rude, she then would not give me her name stating, "I do not need to give you my name" and then she would not let me speak to her supervisor coincidentally stating "she is not in", she also stated that my mothers medical issue in her opinion, "isn't an emergency" and that "she would see if we could go on the list for a doctor to call back. This sort of attitude used to be something that happened in doctors surgerys years ago with receptionists thinking they had authority over patients. Thankfully, you dont have to endure quite so much these days, but sadly there are still some that exist.
I would like to know who's silly idea it is that over 65s are to search around all over the place to get their Flu jab. For those of us, disabled, do not drive, and find it hard to get about. We are the only ones that have to phone around all the listed places that are supposed to have the serum, to be told time and time again, that they have run out.It needs to be kept at the Surgery.I can not get to any of these other places.
No continuity of care. Trying to get an appointment for anything classed as routine can be extremely challenging and thats if you can get any of the call handlers there to answer the phone before your next birthday.I would strongly NOT recommend this practice to anyone who is suffering from any ongoing health conditions.
An efficient and modern Medical Centre on the outskirts of Salisbury with helpful and friendly staff. It's got its own car park too which makes a good difference
