We had a wonderful 3 nights here, the setting is quite spectacular. A lovely pub just a walk over the fields too.

Beautiful Chalke Valley - idyllic

My boyfriend and I stayed for one evening and had such a lovely time even though it rained. Duncan was extremely helpful. The tent was adorable very cozy and warm. I am new to camping so I feel it was the ideal introduction. The site is fantastic, a great place to get away and relax. We can't wait to go back!

We hired the whole site for us and 12 friends, to celebrate my birthday over a weekend in June, Friday to Sunday. The communications with Hector in the run up were great and his dad Duncan was very helpful once we were on-site. The weather was ok, not too sunny but it was a lovely weekend of relaxation and games by day, party by night. We hired a small generator to play music and didn't have to worry about noise as there is no-one else within sight. We BBQ'd in the many fire pits, cooked and ate communally - there are plenty of cool boxes and freezer blocs; some pots and pans and other kitchen equipment (we could have done with a very big pot as warming up food for 14, the few pots and pans are generally medium sized). The site is the right mix of glamping and basic, so feels like a genuine camping weekend without the hassle of putting up your own tent. The tents are very thoughtfully kitted out; lanterns, fairy lights, warm duvets, plus lots more. There are plenty of picnic tables and chairs, crockery, cutlery, and much more. On the Saturday evening, we walked to the Horseshoe Inn for delicious snacks and lovely beers, then taxi'd back to camp (arranged in advance, unlikely to be possible at short notice) for a delicious catered meal care of Duncan's neighbour. We were very sad to leave - the pond and bird life, the quiet, the beautiful views across the fields, it really is a gorgeous place. We'll definitely be back.

My friends and I camp a lot and have been in search for the perfect site for years. We have finally find it at at Chalke Valley Camping. We took the whole site for a long weekend with 30 friends and had the most magical time. The site balances proper camping with a few luxuries - hot showers, a gas hob and five mega comfy bell tents. The site is far enough away from anyone else that making a racket isn't a problem, and has the most bucolic view across the fields, being perfectly aligned for the setting sun. Duncan and the rest of the family were hugely welcoming and always at hand when we needed them, mainly to help jump-start a car...! Thanks so much, we will be back!
