Lovely areas and friendly people. Showers are warm and clean and love that there is a radio playing for background noise. The bar doesn't open in winter which doesn't bother us but it may some as the closest bar would be a fair walk away. Our 4 or 5 visit to this site and definitely will go again.Lots for families in summer and we thought the outside gym was brilliant although it was too cold to use it we did have a little go.Only recommendation is please get a washing machine with spin only cycle but washers and dryers are reasonably priced.
Easy to find and for towing a caravan, good access. Shower blocks had under floor heating. The showers were more than hot enough. The site was nice in January, expect it will be stunning in spring and summer. Play parks for children to 10 years (approximately) all year round. Things for older children in school holidays. There is an adult only area, which is nice if you don't have children.
Just returned from a road trip, Greenhill Farm being out last stop. We stayed in the adult only section which I would highly recommend if you are travelling childless as by 6pm on Friday night the family section was busy, noisy and children cycling around screaming on their bikes with no lights in the pitch black (NOT the campsites fault I know but worth baring in mind)! We had a lovely peaceful pitch by the lake and it was a good size.I do feel I need to mention a couple of drawbacks...The washing up facilities outside were closed now that it is winter. That's fine, I get that, however the alternative they offered was to wash up in the laundry room in the same sink as you would hand wash your "smalls"!!! A little unhygienic whatever way you look at it.The second point I would make is that the site offers "free toilet and shower facilities, which includes hairdryers" etc. In fact there is a 20p charge for the use of a hairdryer....it would have been good to have known this beforehand as I would have probably brought my own hairdryer and used the electric on my pitch that I had already paid for! It was also a pain as thee was no change machine and being winter reception was closed a lot of the time. Maybe an ammendment on the website would be good.Having made these points I do have to say that there are some amazing dog walks and the staff are extremely friendly...worth a visit.
Lovely site especially in Autumn with the beautiful colours of the trees throughout the park. Very quiet at this time of year but plenty to do for families in peak season.
Stayed here recently for two weeks in my motorhome in the adult section. Just perfect for me. Peaceful well maintained. Friendly helpful staff. Perfect.
