Absolutely amazing place! We all loved our weekend at Elcombe Copse. The facilities were great, the views and the countryside were stunning and the staff were really helpful and friendly and the pizza buffet was fantastic! It was really nice to have a chilled out relaxing weekend (albeit a stag weekend) knowing that we were in good hands. We all said that we will definitely be looking to come back here again.
The place and surroundings themselves are beautiful but you have to be pretty able bodied to lug everything down to the camp as the track is quite steep and steep steps but worse taking everything back up again to the car! The main seating area is one end of the camp and the kitchen the other though there was a smaller seating area near to it but it was cold due to being very shaded when we went in May. This also meant lugging plates and cups etc. Up and down the camp. There were two proper toilet rooms with lovely showers but no separate toilets which was difficult with a large group and they didn't clean them for the whole 3 days we were there or change the hand towels which became soaking after the first days use and the tea towels! The gas bottle hot water boiler kept going out too so no hot water at times. The owners were lovely though and the place is very well maintained and we did have a fabulous time and enjoyed the candlelit dinner we ordered from the place and the food was amazing and having a camp fire.
