Excellent site, large pitches, peaceful, great scenery, spotlessly clean and very helpful owners. We stayed for 5 nights early June 2018. When we arrived our electric hook up had given up the ghost. The owner checked all equipment, both his and ours to establish where the fault lay. Even though it was our equipment the owner loaned us his hook up, gave us directions to a supply shop, so we could get our own the following day, and even provided us with a discount voucher to use.The sole downside is there is only 1 shower each for men and women, not a problem when we went, but could imagine there are queues at the height of the season.
I can not recommended this site enough. We unintentionally kept changing our plans and the people at Summerlands did everything they could to accommodate us. Stunning views, each pitch has plenty of space. The toilets are clean and the site is well looked after. Already booked for next year.
Stunning setting. Owners lovely. Loo block small but perfect, clean and warm. Pub a beautiful 1.5 mile walk away which does great food. Very small site with no playground facilities other than a field to use but that didn't worry our 11 year old. Will definitely be planning another weekend here!
